This is where I discovered a deep appreciation for the islands' rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. Hawai'i art is all about light, color, and movement. My family originally came from Europe. Both my parent's families are from Southern Italy. We immigrated to the United States through Canada (Famiglia Materna) and New York (Famiglia Paterna). I have numerous paintings that depict European life and culture. Europe has different meanings for different people, and I try to capture that diversity in my artwork.

Japan Needs Painting
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be in a business that sold Japanese electronics starting in the late 1970's. I have always been fascinated by the precision and innovation of Japanese technology, and this interest has influenced my artistic perspective and work.
Having had the opportunity to visit Japan, I have been inspired by the country's rich culture and art history, which I try to incorporate into my artwork. I am particularly interested in the contrast between traditional and modern Japanese art, and the classical representations of the Edo period.
